Jack Borden had an usual way of answering the phone. When you called Jack, who founded and ran a cloud appreciation organization called “For Spacious Skies,” you were not greeted with the usual “hello” or “This is Jack.” No, Jack Borden would pick up the phone and say, “Look Up!”

That’s it: “Look Up!” I remember the first time I got that greeting, I actually glanced upwards, just in case. And that is exactly what Jack Borden wanted you to do. It was all a part of the lifetime obsession of a man once described as the “Jacques Cousteau of the sky.”
