You’re not a travel writer.

You’re a writer.

Home never leaves us that is why we travel - not to discover new places but rather to discover out own places by comparison.

Love to you and Jill and your daughter! Your choice is the best for you! The Apostle Islands are a distance away for us...but we love it more each time we visit! We call it a "get-away" but really it's like other places we visit: we feel like each time we visit it's like "coming home". There are only three places we get that feeling from: Hawaii, Door County and the Apostle Islands. It might be because we repeatedly return, again and again...to the places we love and like you said: "I think I could live here". But it's a fleeting thought, because our hearts are in the places we live/love!

Beautiful, Jeff. Thank you for helping me understand my choice. I had never seen it in that light, literally and figuratively.

Will you be traveling anywhere else in Alaska. . .like maybe Girdwood? 😉

Thanks for taking us along on a C-Dory. A fine boat to explore Alaskan waters.
