Wonderful, Jeff. Others tell of how to achieve this seeing through meditation. I love how you (and Dillard) arrive. 🙏

I love your take on abstraction! I too find it by the Shores of Superior. I suspect rock hounds see it too. When I see a Rothko painting I can feel it.

Beautifully written, Jeff. Within the magnificence of nature, and more, is yet another layer. One that opens an extortionary connection when looking deeply into the eyes of what is beyond the surface.

Very thought provoking Jeff. Thank you.

As a visual artist, I'm in awe of the way living in the islands offers so many opportunities to see deeper. Love your photos that exemplify your words.

Ah this is a powerful one, Jeff. Especially as told through the words and images together. This resonates with me as someone that paints mainly to see deeper. By the way, it reminds me of your comment that to find a bear, see the void, the total absence of light in the woods.

Thank you, Dale. The fact that there are so many of us out there, in whatever landscape and whatever situation, trying to "see deeper" into things gives me hope.
