Oh, Jeff - there are days when your words feel like a prayer. This is one of those days. Thank you.

I have been gearing up to write about wilderness and visiting with friends of like minds. This post is spot-on what I have been considering - those moments we'll never forget, reminders of our place in the din of our current world, and the ability to rise above it and just breathe! Beautifully put!

Back in the Northwoods for the summer and am so entrenched in this vibration. Took the peddle boat out at 2 am to experience the northern lights, alone in the middle of the lake (a 300 acre lake) except the geese who are on their way north and a loon making summons to its friends.

The most brilliant feeling of being alive and watching the sky breathe with me.

What a wonderful experience. Unfortunately, we were under a cloak of smoke from the Canadian wildfires. Thank you for reading and commenting. -- Jeff

Beautiful. Your words on stillness and unspectacular, uneventful days can be read literally, and on a deeper level serve as a perfect metaphor for the contemplative life. 🙏🏻
